Dancers Career Support
Dancers Career Support (DCS) is a non-profit association dedicated to helping dancers in Japan navigate their career development and transitions. Established to address the lack of systemic support for professional dancers, DCS provides information, guidance, and opportunities that connect dance experience with broader career pathways.
Through seminars, counseling, and collaborative programs with universities, dance companies, and cultural institutions, DCS promotes dancers’ self-understanding and empowers them to apply their creativity, discipline, and expressive skills beyond the stage.
As a member of the IOTPD, DCS represents Japan in the global network supporting dancers’ transitions and advocates for improved recognition of dance as a profession within Japanese society.
